1. Beauty: Skin, Wrinkles, and Dermal Matrix Markers

In short: In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, daily administration of 2.5 g of specific collagen peptides for 8 weeks was associated with a 20.1% reduction in crow's feet volume compared to placebo; after 4 weeks, a reduction of more than 7.2% was observed. Also, an increase in procollagen type I by 65% and elastin by 18% compared to placebo was reported after 8 weeks.

2. Rehabilitation: tendon/ligament support and joint discomfort during exercise

Briefly: In an exercise study, ingestion of 15 g of gelatin with vitamin C 1 hour before activity was associated with an approximately twofold increase in the blood marker of type I collagen synthesis (PINP), interpreted as an enhancement of the collagen-synthetic response to exercise.

Briefly: In a 24-week randomized, placebo-controlled trial in athletes with exercise-induced joint pain, collagen hydrolysate was associated with greater pain reduction in selected movement tests (including standing, running in a straight line, and changing direction) compared to placebo.

Composition

Composition per 1 capsule: collagen hydrolysate Peptan® P 2000 LD Collagen Peptides — 500 mg; biotin (vitamin B7, H) — 500 mcg.

Excipients: gelatin (capsule).
