Stark Rosemary Extract 400 mg — anti-glycation support for skin beauty

Stark Rosemary Extract is a standardized rosemary extract with a high proportion of rosmarinic acid (25%). Rosmarinic acid is the key polyphenol in rosemary that combines antioxidant activity with anti-glycation potential.

Glycation is a process where excess sugars “stick” to proteins and over time form tough cross-links. This is important for skin because the collagen matrix is a long-lasting structure, and glycation stress can affect elasticity, density, and the “fresh” appearance.

The main focus of this product is on collagen matrix support and anti-glycation for beauty/anti-age. Other properties of rosemary (antioxidant, neuroprotective, digestive support) can be considered as additional bonuses of the formula.

Briefly about the product

  • Standardization: rosemary extract up to 25% rosmarinic acid.
  • Dosage: 400 mg of pure rosemary extract in each capsule.
  • Focus: anti-glycation support for collagen and skin + antioxidant protection.
  • Form: 60 capsules in a jar.

How rosemary extract works

  • Anti-glycation direction: in experimental models, rosmarinic acid is associated with a decrease in the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), a decrease in protein carbonylation, and an inhibition of the formation of hard “crosslinks” between proteins.
  • Antioxidant protection: neutralizing excess free radicals and supporting cells against oxidative stress.
  • Supporting cognitive health: Rosemary polyphenols are considered factors that can support the nervous system's resistance to stress.
  • Digestion: In traditional use, rosemary is associated with supporting bile secretion and fat digestion.

The effect of Stark Rosemary Extract

  • Skin and collagen (anti-age): may help reduce glycation load on proteins, supporting the structural integrity of the collagen matrix of the skin and connective tissue.
  • Evenness of tone and “freshness” of appearance: Clinical observations for rosemary extract-based supplements have described improvements in texture, dullness, and evenness of tone with long-term use.
  • Antioxidant shield: supporting cells from oxidative stress, which is important for the overall tone and “biological age” of tissues.
  • Cognitive support: may help maintain performance, concentration, and resilience to stress.
  • Digestion and liver: additional support for digestive processes and metabolic comfort (as a secondary focus of the formula).

Who might it suit?

  • those who want to focus on an anti-aging approach and collagen support;
  • those whose diet contains a lot of sweets/baking (as part of a strategy to control "sugar load" along with nutrition);
  • those seeking antioxidant support during periods of high stress;
  • those who combine a "beauty strategy" with training and recovery.

Scientific evidence and mechanisms (focus on oral administration)

1) Anti-glycation mechanism and collagen protection

Rosmarinic acid has been associated with reduced AGE formation, reduced protein carbonylation, and inhibition of protein-protein “hard crosslinks” in experimental models. This mechanism is the underlying explanation for why rosemary is considered a promising nutrient for anti-aging and collagen matrix support.

2) Oral intake and markers of “skin quality” (photoaging)

In a placebo-controlled study, a mixture of rosemary and grapefruit polyphenols (oral administration) described positive changes related to skin resistance to UV stress (erythema), as well as a reduction in oxidative markers in the skin and improvements in indicators related to elasticity/anti-aging appearance.

3) Oral intake and stress/performance (nervous system)

Clinical studies with oral rosemary extracts have reported positive changes in subjective stress/anxiety scores and autonomic nervous system parameters. Some studies have also reported improvements in selected measures of mood, fatigue, and psychomotor speed in the rosemary group.

4) Oral administration: absorption and tolerability

For polyphenols containing rosmarinic acid, oral data in humans have been described, with metabolites identified in biological media, confirming absorption and metabolism. Clinical intervention studies with rosemary extracts have also shown an acceptable tolerability profile when administered in courses.
